Installing a Wegat Optical Adapter

Steps for Removing the Black Plastic ETX Back
- Remove the focus knob from the focus shaft. Requires a 0.05″ or 1.27 mm hex wrench
- Separate the optical tube from the fork mount (if still attached).
- Using a 7/64″ hex wrench, remove the three hex screws that secure the black plastic back to the tube (two are deeply recessed).
- Slide the black plastic rear cell / back off the tube.
- Seat the Wegat Optical adapter and fasten it with the kit screws. Access hole plugs come pre-installed in the adapter.
- Cap the threaded port with the included end cap when not using accessories.
Mounting the OTA
After the fork comes off, the tube is usually held in rings. Exact-fit rings are uncommon, and the Gallery shows what people have used.
